The ScubaPro name is synonymous with quality. Divers love their regulators, BCDs, masks, and fins, including the GO Travel fins. They’re not as high performance as the Jet Fins; they’re not quite as powerful as the Seawing Supernovas; and maybe they’re not quite as innovative as the S-Tec fins, but they are lightweight and comfortable, making them a traveler’s dream.

Small enough to fit in your carry-on luggage and light enough to serve as a second set of fins on your trips, the GO Travel fins are perfect for frequent warm-water travelers. Also, being a barefoot fin, they’re great for scuba instructors and divemasters who spend a lot of time in the pool—not having to wear boots that corrode means you save money.

Let’s dive in and take a closer look at the ScubaPro GO Travel fins.

ScubaPro GO Travel Fins Diving Features

Right up front, I have to be honest—these are my personal fins. I’ve been using them for a while and we thought it would be worthwhile to include them in this rundown. I didn’t always wear fins like this. I used to think I needed to wear boots with heavy fins for proper control in the water.

It wasn’t until I went through about three pairs of boots teaching classes in the pool, where the chlorine really eats them up, that I made the switch. I decided to give these a try and I fell in love with them, especially for teaching. They make it so much easier to jump in and out of the pool to grab weight, gear, or extra defog.

The GO Travel fins are pretty comfortable and they’re very lightweight. What I have found however, throughout the time that I’ve been diving with them, is that the bungee heel strap is a little loose, which allows your foot to slide around a little bit. I also found that these fins are a little floppy.

Those aren’t necessarily bad things, especially in the pool. I haven’t taken these into open water, where there might be a strong current, but putting them up against other fins I could see them not being quite as powerful.

These fins make a lot of sense for a couple different groups of people. For one, these fins come in super-small sizes, so they’re great for young divers and people with small feet. Second, they’re super-lightweight, so they’re great for travelers.

The ScubaPro GO Travel fins remind me a lot of the Aqualung Storm fins. They both come in smaller sizes to fit smaller feet, and both can be worn barefoot. They are both lightweight and travel extremely well. The Storm fins are a bit more rigid, so it depends on what you like in a fin.

And finally, these fins are great for diving, but equally as good for those who want to do some snorkeling. You can stroll down the beach barefoot and then slide them on when you want to swim around the dock or look and see what’s close to shore.

ScubaPro GO Travel Fins Straps

The ScubaPro GO Travel fins come with a simple bungee strap with a rubber overlay finger pull. This bungee strap is super comfortable and makes the fins easy to get on and off.

ScubaPro GO Travel Fins Blade

The Scuba Pro GO Travel fins are made from 100% Monprene, meaning they will last a long time. These blades are paddle-style and each fin comes with the hook to secure the fin as a set. This makes loading them in your bag for travel that much easier.

The ScubaPro GO Travel fins come in six colors with a variety of color options for the heel straps as well.

If you are looking for a great accessory, ScubaPro has you covered. One of our favorite choices is the ScubaPro Gorilla frameless mask. This mask can fit a wide variety of faces and has one of the largest fields of vision on the market.

If you’re after high-quality from a trusted brand, look no further than the ScubaPro MK 25 EVO. While not an accessory, we can’t help but recommend this regulator. It will fit any diver’s needs and it is one of the all-time top performing regulators.

ScubaPro GO Travel Fins Price/Quality Ratio

The ScubaPro GO Travel fins are some of the most affordable, wallet-friendly fins on the market. This affordability makes them perfect for instructors looking for a set of fins to use in the pool. They’re also a great fin for people who like to travel and save weight on their baggage, or for those who want to carry a second set of fins to go snorkeling when they’re done scuba diving for the day.

They’re even great for kids who are just getting into scuba. You’re already buying new shoes every six months and fins are the same way, so at least now you’ll save some money.

Do we recommend the ScubaPro GO Travel fins?

We do recommend the Scuba Pro GO Travel fins. These are a great, affordable fin that allows you the freedom to carry a second set of fins and travel very lightly. We recommend these fins especially for dive instructors and divemasters, who spend a lot of time in the pool. These fins will really save you in the long run by not having to buy multiple pairs of boots after they get worn out and corroded.

We also recommend the GO Travel fins for people who love to travel and for those who like to snorkel at the end of the day. You don’t have to wear boots with them, so you can stroll along the beach and be just fine.

We also recommend these for kids that are just starting out in diving and for people with small feet. The GO Travel fins come in a lot of sizes and they fit smaller feet wonderfully. They’re super-comfortable and super-affordable—that makes a great combination and a dive fin.
