Because they’re made from a strong thermoplastic elastomer, you might be surprised to find these fins leading the way in the budget category. The Solla fins come in seven colors and are equipped with an EZ Strap and buckle system. Not only do these fins perform well, but they are also comfortable—and they look nice too. There’s no doubt your buddy will always know where you are while diving.

TUSA Solla Diving Features

I don’t use a ton of TUSA equipment, but I do love their masks. I have a few different ones that I use for different scenarios. I have the Zensee for everyday use, and I pull out my Freedom Elite when my beard gets a little shaggy. Both are unbeatable, so I was excited to get the Sollas on my feet for a test run.

Being a traditional paddle-style fin, I found the TUSA Solla fins to perform great while flutter kicking in a straight line. They generate enough force and power to survive in currents and calm water alike. They are a little long, and tend to lose a bit of snap while frog kicking, but are serviceable.

They are light, which makes them great for travel, but that also makes them very buoyant. You might find your feet trying to float up on you, kind of throwing a wrench into your trim plans. The lightness and lack of “snap” also makes turning and back-finning a little harder.

I think these would be great fins for divers who travel to warm-water locations, where weight during packing matters, but where you’ll also be wearing a thin exposure suit. They would also work as a good set of backup fins if a diver wanted a lighter fin on standby. And, thanks to their affordability, they are great starter fins for divers trying to figure out their diving style.

TUSA Solla Straps

The TUSA Solla fins come with an EZ strap, which is fully adjustable, and a secure buckle. The straps also have a pull tab, making putting them on and getting them off easy.

TUSA Solla Blade

The TUSA Solla fins are traditional, paddle-style fins with a measurement varying from 22 to 24.7 inches (56 to 63 cm), depending on the size. The blades are pre-bent at 20 degrees, making your working kick easier over a longer period of time. The lightness of the blade means your kicks will be more efficient and less tiring.

The blades feature a reinforced side rail, positioning the force of water exactly where you want it to be. The thermoplastic polymer material means these fins will last a long time.

TUSA Solla Colors & Accessories

The TUSA Solla fins come in a wide variety of colors to mix and match all your gear, including black, cobalt blue, fishtail blue, metallic dark red, ocean green, rose pink, and yellow.

TUSA has made a name for itself when it comes to masks. The design is top-tier, and the materials are the best on the market. They fit so many different faces, and even divers with facial hair have found comfort in TUSA masks without sacrificing their scruffy look. One of our favorite masks from TUSA is the Freedom HD.

No dive kit is complete until you add a cutting tool. It doesn’t have to be a huge Bowie knife, just something that can cut a line. Our choice is the TUSA X-Pert II knife.

TUSA Solla Price/Quality Ratio

The TUSA Solla fins are some of the best value fins on the market. They’re budget friendly, yet relatively high quality, and perform like much more expensive fins. Built from a thermoplastic polymer, featuring reinforced side rails, and designed with a 20-degree angle of attack, these fins are a great fin for a variety of divers.

At the price you will pay, the TUSA Solla fins are a great choice for a travel fin, a backup fin, or for divers who spend the most of their dives in warm water.

Do we recommend the TUSA Solla fins?

We do recommend the TUSA Solla fins. These are great, lightweight fins that are made from sturdy material. They generate enough force for most divers to power through moderate currents. The price point makes them perfect as a set of backup fins or for the new diver looking for their first set of fins.

Coming in a variety of sizes and featuring the EZ Strap and buckle system, the TUSA Solla fins can fit a wide variety of foot sizes. The material will last for a long time, and the 20-degree pre-bent angle of attack means less work in the water.
