Ocean First is pleased to announce that during the upcoming DEMA Trade Show, representatives from their Key Largo Facility will be on hand to introduce show attendees to the new packages, including diving, overwater bungalows, breakfast and lunch, and transfers from the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale airport to the diving capital of the US.

Strategically located beside the historic Jules Undersea Lodge, Ocean First Key Largo features diving on breathtaking coral reefs, seagrass beds, and in the mangroves of the National Marine Sanctuary. Ocean First also offers unparalleled training opportunities year-round thanks to the private lagoon located beside their dive center. Individuals, dive centers, and groups can now enjoy diving in the incredible Florida Keys, while also participating in advanced training and research through their nonprofit partner, Ocean First Institute (OFI).

The Institute has recently built a new research station beside the dive center and, in conjunction with the groundbreaking research of Dr. Mikki McComb-Kobza and Dr. Chris Malinowski, OFI provides a number of highly engaging citizen science experiences for divers and snorkels alike, effectively making their Key Largo location a truly one-stop-shop.

The new Key Largo facility is also home to the company’s groundbreaking TIDES science camp, which has been running successfully in the Boulder/Denver metro area for 15 years and has demonstrated a profitable and viable way to engage the next generation of young divers.

“Ocean First is committed to youth education and experiential learning,” explains Graham Casden, Ocean First’s Founder and Chief Visionary Officer. “The new facility provides opportunities for our next generation of explorers, ambassadors, and stewards to come to Key Largo and participate in innovative research and professional training with the same level of excellence that Ocean First is widely known for.”

Casden said the TIDES program is available to any dive center or youth group in the United States and encourages anyone interested in learning more to stop by the DEMA Show Booth #5065 to learn more.
