The Red Sea in Egypt holds its place as one of the world’s top dive destinations. Offering outstanding visibility, easy conditions, historical shipwrecks, and incredibly diverse marine life, the Red Sea is suitable for divers of all levels. However, picking a specific boat or operator can sometimes be confusing as there’s such a wide range of options available. One favorite among many divers is the Red Sea Aggressor II.

Built in 2017, this spacious vessel was designed with luxury, comfort, and safety in mind. Measuring 151 feet (46 m) and accommodating up to 22 guests, the Red Sea Aggressor II offers great facilities, such as a hot tub, a shaded sun deck, and a bar.

Diving on the Red Sea Aggressor II liveaboard

Most divers who have tried a liveaboard in Egypt even once know the kind of experience it offers, and while each trip may have a different itinerary, the takeaway is the same: incredible dives, new friendships, lots of photos, and great memories. Marine life encounters in the Red Sea can include dolphins, turtles, moray eels, and various species of sharks, including hammerheads and oceanic whitetip sharks, among others.

Year-round warm weather and water in the Red Sea make it the ideal location for all divers, new and experienced, with limitless reefs, fish, a variety of wrecks, and incredible visibility. High season runs from April to November, with land temperatures ranging from 64 to 104 F (18 to 40 C) and comfortable water temperatures ranging from 62 to 84 F (17 to 29 C).

Red Sea Aggrеssor II itineraries include diving on wrecks like the iconic SS Thistlegorm, the most well-known and photographed shipwreck in the Red Sea; its sister ship the Rosalie Moeller, and the ship graveyard of Abu Nuhas Reef. Nitrox is available for those certified at an extra cost.

Excellent reef dives await in Ras Mohamed National Park and Brothers Islands, where divers can meet big pelagics. The ship features 12 experienced crew members who are there to help you get the most from your trip.

Onboard the Red Sea Aggressor II 

Accommodating a total of 22 passengers, this vessel offers 11 staterooms, consisting of two master rooms with queen-sized beds, eight deluxe rooms with two twin beds, and one suite with a queen bed. Each is thoughtfully designed and complete with ensuite bathrooms, shower facilities, and individually controlled air conditioners.

Each room features bathrobes, fresh towels, a hair dryer, and a 32-inch flat screen that offers newly released movies. Guests may also use HDMI to plug their computer into the TV screen to view and edit pictures and videos from their daily adventures.

Inside, guests can congregate in the spacious salon. Outside there’s a large sundeck with a shaded area, hot tub, chaise lounges and deck chairs, bar, and a complete photo/video center.

Nightly entertainment includes diving, marine life identification presentations, movies, games, and more. If you’d like to brush up on Red Sea marine life, the small library is packed with identification books.

The dive deck is located at the back of the boat and provides plentiful storage space, gear rinses, and camera set-up areas. To ensure everyone’s safety, the yacht is also equipped with Radar, GPS, life rafts, jackets, and fire fighting equipment.

Dining on the Red Sea Aggressor II

Guests will be delighted by the fresh fruits, hot entrees, cereals, and juice for breakfast. Buffet-style meals at lunch feature soups, homemade bread, salads, and sandwiches and/or entrees. Each evening, there’s a variety of vegetable dishes, seafood, beef, or chicken with a fresh homemade dessert, making meal times a feast of both Egyptian cuisine and international dishes.

Beverages include complimentary fruit juices, soft drinks,  iced tea, coffee, and a limited selection of local beer and wine. Guests can also purchase liquor from the duty-free shop at the airport before departing to Egypt.

Those with special dietary requirements should note them down on their reservation and speak to the chef on board to fulfill your needs.
