Hey Delfino. If you’re healthy then there should be nothing keeping you from taking the plunge. But talk to your doctor to be sure. Any issues with your ears? If so then get them looked at. No matter what, learning to dive shouldn’t go fast, so you’ll have ample opportunity to gauge your incremental journey into diving. Take it slow. Slow is always best when scuba diving. The good folks at any one of the dive centers you might find will also be aware of your age and hopefully approach your learning accordingly. Use your wisdom and instincts. You’ll have a chance to see if you trust your instructors. If you do, then trust them and enjoy. But remember: take it slow.

Hey David. You are so very right. Missing was the “…oldest diving agency…” in the US. Thanks for pointing this out.
In this article you say that NAUI is the oldest diving agency formed in 1959. BSAC was formed in 1953.
