Our experienced team of divers took the Zeagle Scope Mono Mask for a spin in both cold and warm water dive settings. There is no doubt that this diving mask is a high-quality product that’s suitable for both new and experienced divers.
The Zeagle Scope dive mask features a large nose pocket and soft silicone skirt that provides a comfortable fit – one of our divers was even able to wear their prescription glasses under the mask. This dive mask features a one-piece lens with low volume and an over-molded frameless design. This makes it less durable than traditional masks as there is less protection, but it does mean the mask is more flexible and can be folded flat for easy packing.
The design of this mask enables you to see through the lens without obstruction or distortion. With its large nose pocket and soft silicone skirt, this mask fits comfortably on all face shapes and sizes, making it great for any type of diving environment.

The Zeagle Scope Mono is a frameless, over-molded design from Zeagle’s proprietary line of dive masks. It features Zeagle’s Flexible Silicone Skirt for a comfortable fit, and low volume design for clear vision in and out of the water. The silicon skirt is perfectly bonded around the lens without a stiff frame in between, giving this mask its low profile and improving the comfort of the wearer.
This mask’s flexible silicone skirt fits your face pleasantly without digging or pinching your skin. While diving, the soft silicone is pleasant to wear and does not irritate the skin. However, the main advantage this style has over other traditional masks is that it can be folded flat which makes packing extremely simple and does not require much space in your suitcase for you’re next visit to the Maldives – more room for that Hawaiian floral shirt you wanted to take along to annoy your spouse!
For our reviewers this strap was the highlight of this dive masks’s many cool features. In implementing this pinchless strap into their product, Zeagle have essentially taken to the podium and declared: “Gone are the days of relentless hair pulling by your strap, just get the darn mask on already!”
If you purchase this mask, you will not need to purchase a head strap cover to protect your locks and you can just enjoy getting your mask on in style. In addition to this feature, the strap also boasts an extremely simple ski-goggle buckle on it so you can adjust it with one hand. The mask also comes with a snorkel keeper so that your snorkel stays attached to you while you are diving.
The Zeagle Scope Mono Dive Mask is a frameless dive mask that is designed to be comfortable and easy to use. The mask has a one-piece lens that offers great visibility underwater and is generally easier to clear than a dual lens mask. However, an issue with the large nose pocket as a feature is it contradicts the low profile design of the rest of the mask.
The nose pocket works extremely well on this mask as not only does it feel more comfortable and adaptable to many face types but it can also fit most glasses. Any loss in streamlining gained in the low profile design as a result of the larger nose pocket was not experienced by our review team.
The Zeagle Scope is a great mask for all levels of divers. The quality is fantastic, the construction is relatively durable, and it’s made in the USA. It comes with a one year warranty and can be found at most retailers. But coming in at just under $100 may be a little steep, especially for beginner divers.
Other masks such as the Cressi F1 also feature similar frameless designs, are rated just as highly, and are cheaper so they are worth considering.
Do we recommend it?
Although the mask features fantastic visibility and comfort, the reports of leaks seem to be just abundant enough to be significant. While the design is modern and unique, it could potentially use some tweaking to resolve this issue.
Otherwise, we believe this mask is an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced divers. It’s easy to adjust, and it comes with a strap that can be easily adjusted to fit smaller faces or larger ones. The Zeagle Scope Mono Dive Mask is made primarily with comfort in mind.
