Where to buy

Now on its third iteration, the Seaview 180 V3 is an affordable, functional, comfortable full-face snorkel mask.

With a strong build, a 180-degree field of vision (FOV), a secure skirt seal, and an angled snorkel with Seaview’s FlowTech system, the mask stays watertight with fresh airflow circulation. This unique snorkel design keeps CO2 levels safe and reduces fog. The straps are easy to adjust to different head sizes, and quick-release buttons allow you to put it on and take it off with one click. And it comes in fun colors!

The Seaview 180 V3 does have a few shortcomings. The snorkel is hard to detach, and the distortion on the periphery of the lens can be a bit awkward at the beginning, particularly if you’ve never tried a full face snorkel mask before.

But overall, it is safe, comfy, easy to use, and a strong budget-friendly option. We handed it over to our retired parents, and they loved their snorkeling experience and had no problems or issues with use – a sure sign it’s a reliable performer for underwater sightseeing.

Better Airflow, Better View

Seaview 180 V3 Full Face Snorkel Mask Face And Tube

Still loaded with Seaview’s patented FlowTech air intake just like the V2, the Seaview 180 V3 full face snorkel mask allows you to breathe easier. Why? With better airflow, there is less CO2 buildup and less work of breath. Plus, with a more secure seal, 20% wider field of view, a comfier fit from easier to adjust straps with quick-release buttons, the V3 is undeniably more pleasant to use than its predecessor.

It has an affordable price tag, and the Seaview 180 V3 is well-made. And there are great extra features like a GoPro mount on the mask to take hands-free video of your underwater adventures. It fits comfortably to your face with good waterproof sealing giving it great ease of use.

There are a few tradeoffs: detaching the snorkel for easier packing during travel takes some work. There’s also some clarity distortion on the lens’s sides, and the snorkel floater that keeps water out has been reported to get stuck.

Let’s dive into the features and see why it’s still one of our favorite full face snorkel masks.

Features

The Seaview 180 V3 Full Face Snorkel Mask has been improved from the Seaview 180 V2.

Strap

First, the durable straps now have new quick-release safety buttons, so you can quickly remove or easily put on the mask. This also allows the straps to stay in place once adjusted. The right fit is particularly important for full face masks. Making sure you purchase the correct size along with Seaview’s easy to adjust straps ensure the perfect fit for comfortable, watertight snorkeling.

Lens and Viewing

Seaview has increased the lens viewing area by 20% in the V3. The field of view and clarity offered by the Seaview 180 V3 Full Face Snorkel Mask is one of the best. This is also because of the side snorkel and patented Flowtech system. The valves and separate breathing chamber allow for fresh air circulation that not only keeps CO2 levels safe but also reduces fogging. This gives you a clear view through the lens while you snorkel. There is a bit of distortion on the viewing periphery, which might need some time to get used to.

Go Pro Mount

If you enjoy documenting your experiences, the GoPro mount is now in a better position – at eye level on the side of the mask. This keeps it out of the way but ideally placed to capture what you see. We think this is a definite improvement from the V2 placement below the chin, while it helped keep the camera under the water, it was awkward.

Watertight

The silicone skirt seems to have an improved design. It can be worn looser for comfort without leaks. Even with the right fit, the improved silicone skirt, and the dry snorkel, water could get in – from a bump or prolonged use. But there is an improved water drain system in the V3. Simply lift your head up at the surface, and water will drain out through a chin valve.

Natural, Comfortable Breathing

The patented Flowtech design was developed to ensure fresh air flows easily for safe breathing with minimal effort. This technology seems to be under constant development with review and verification from third parties to ensure Seaview’s commitment to safety. The V3 has improved airflow and ease of breathing.

Just a note of caution: The floater in the snorkel that blocks water from coming in might get stuck. It happens when you remove the mask from your face and slide it to your head, leaving the tube upside down. Put your Seaview 180 V3 on again, and tilt your chin down to dislodge the floater. If it doesn’t work, remove the mask and give it a little shake. Double-check this every time before hitting the waters to avoid accidents.

Price/Quality Ratio

The quality of this full face snorkel mask can compete with pricier alternatives. Comfort,  ease of use, and safety are Seaview 180 V3’s strong points. For casual use, this one tops our list!

Do we recommend it?

Seaview 180 V3 Full Face Snorkel Mask Underwater Wearing

Definitely!

If you’re searching for a budget-friendly full face snorkel mask, the Seaview 180 V3 is the best option. With easy-to-breathe airflow, a  secure seal, wide FOV, and easy strap adjustment and release, all you’ll have to worry about is finding a great snorkel spot.

The Seaview 180 V3 full faced snorkel mask is designed for you to breathe naturally without worries about CO2, exertion, and fogging. The comfortable fit is also a significant plus.

It can be difficult to remove the snorkel if you need to pack the mask, and there’s a bit of distortion on the sides of the lens. You also have to be aware the floater might get stuck. But it’s nothing that a bit of shaking can’t fix. At its price and with its other pros, we don’t feel like these problems are big enough to not highly recommend the V3.

This is an affordable full face snorkel mask with some great tech. The Seaview 180 V3 is an excellent option for casual snorkelers who want an easy, safe way to enjoy some beautiful underwater sites.
